Information we collect
Through consultation and membership forms, we collect information needed to provide the service, including name, organization, email address, telephone number, consultation details, requested societies, and account usage information. Hosting providers may also record technical information such as access time and browser type for secure operation.
How we use information
- Responding to consultations, arranging meetings, and communicating about projects
- Registration, identity confirmation, approval, society assignment, and access control
- Account protection, including password recovery
- Secure operation, abuse prevention, and incident response
- Legal compliance and activities reasonably related to these purposes
Do not submit patient information
This website is not designed to store patient information, PHI, clinical trial participant data, or regulated EDC data. Do not enter such information in consultation forms or member pages. When necessary, MD Lab will arrange a separately approved secure method.
Sharing and service providers
We do not provide personal information to third parties without consent unless required by law. We may engage providers for hosting, authentication, databases, and email where needed to operate the site. This site currently uses services from Vercel, Supabase, and Resend.
International processing
Cloud infrastructure or operations may be located outside Japan. We review contractual and security measures and limit processing to what is necessary for the stated purposes.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for member sessions and security. If we introduce additional analytics tools, we will explain their purpose and available choices on this site.
Retention and security
We retain information only as long as necessary for consultation, membership administration, legal obligations, and dispute handling, then delete or anonymize it securely. Measures include access restrictions, encrypted communications, permission management, and auditable administration.
Your requests
Subject to applicable law and identity verification, you may request access, correction, suspension of use, or deletion of your personal information. Members can edit certain profile information from their account page.
